Contact us if you would like to find out more information or discuss wedding options.

where to host your wedding ceremony

There are a number of locations at La Verrière where you can hold the wedding ceremony or blessing itself and you can mix & match the locations for different parts of the event.

  • The beautiful oval of oak trees where your hosts, Nicole and Xavier, held their own sophisticated country wedding many moons ago

  • Beside the little fountain to the side of the house (for smaller parties)

  • In the druid-like circle of magical oaks by Woodhenge

  • At the foot of the famous blue oak, the emblem of the La Verrière wine, Chene Bleu

  • On the olive terraces under the infinity pool

  • Next to the pond

  • In the main courtyard in front of the Winery Wing

NB: In France, certain formalities will need to be completed beforehand.

wedding receptions, parties and catering

On average, weddings can host up to 120 seated guests, including sites for musical performances. For smaller groups, the Grand Vaulted Hall is a logical venue for intimate wedding cocktail and dinner parties.

See the printable events specs for the floor plan and capacity of each available space. There is parking provided on the helipad for those driving to the celebration, and we recommended organising small vans back and forth to the local village or hotels.

Wedding parties typically make use of the in-house catering services for meals ahead of the wedding party. For larger groups of over 25 guests for the wedding rehearsal dinner an external caterer will be recommended. Likewise for the Sunday brunch pool party, large group sizes will also require an external caterer. The La Verrière team is happy to share a list of suggested caterers and DJs if so desired.

Accommodation for wedding guests

All seven guest rooms may be reserved for your private wedding party. Find out more about booking the whole house for your celebration.

Additional guests can stay in neighbouring Crestet and the region. There are many B&Bs and AirBnB guest houses nearby, that we are happy to recommend. Alternatively, there are a few larger hotels further afield that can accommodate your wedding party in full.

marriage proposals

Nicole and her team take great pleasure in helping people connect, express and experience what really matters.  Engagements are no exception, especially in this serendipitous location. If you are planning to propose to someone, we can help you plan this important event to be particularly memorable.

Wherever you end up, we wish you an unforgettable day, and we will toast to your health and happiness!

“There are no words to express our thanks to the whole LV team which has contributed beyond measure to the success of our stay and the marriage of Alice et Matthieu. It was a timeless moment of grace. We (the parents) are immensely grateful for your welcome. You bent over backwards for us. Nicole, the magician, even discretely changed the tyre on a hire car broken down on a bend in the road ‘en route’ to La Verrière hours before the wedding”
